Australian Government Mobile Service Centres travel to rural and regional communities to provide people who live in rural or regional areas with information and access to government services.
Where: Hoskins St, near Paleface Park
When: Wednesday, 5th June
Time: 9am to 3pm.
They provide personalised face-to-face servicing to individuals and families who may not have easy access to a Department of Human Services office.
The Mobile Service Centres provide access to a range of government payments and services.
Staff onboard our Mobile Service Centres live and work in rural communities and can provide information, assistance and support to older Australians, families, students, jobseekers, people with disability, carers, farmers and self employed people.
From time to time, representatives from other government agencies travel with the Mobile Service Centres.
The Mobile Service Centres are equipped with:
- a soundproof interview room
- a soundproof Australian Hearing testing room
- service/assistance desks
- a waiting area
- a publication display area
- self service computer access
- LCD display screens
- disabled access
- wireless IT connectivity for greater servicing flexibility.
