We welcome all new students to Temora High School. We have formal programs for key transition points including:
Year 6 into Year 7 - Beginning in Term 2 each year, the Year Advisor visitsprimary schools for Q&A sessions, sample lessons and wellbeing support. In Term 3 and 4 students prepare for high school by coming on site for taster lessons and our formal Orientation Day, including a tour for students and parents/carers. Additional transition support for students with individual learning needs occurs throughout the year.
Year 10 into Year 11 - beginning in Term 4 each year, includes information about the senior learning environment, HSC pathways, All My Own Work, effective study skills and careers support.
We also welcome new students throughout the year amd invite families to book an enrolment interview by phoning the front office. The Principal or Deputy Principal will galdly meet with students and families to tour the school and discuss our learning, wellbeing and extracurricular programs.
