Embarking on senior studies is an important step for many students. We aim to make the transition a positive one for Year 10 students and their parents.
Many Year 10 students of Temora HS will continue on to their senior studies at THS. We also welcome students from other schools into Year 11.
Transition Program for new students
Temora High School's Year 11 Transition Program for new students was developed on the premise that incoming students may worry about the idea of moving into the Senior School of Temora High School. This program is designed to make this move as stress-free as possible and we thank the parents and students for discussing this possibility with us.
During the afternoon, a number of Year 10 and Year 11 students will move around with the group to discuss THS and answer questions, as well as building relationships for the upcoming year.
Science Bridging course
For students wishing to study Physics and/or Chemistry, Temora High School operates a "Bridging Course". This is run for all students who have these courses on their pattern of study.
The aim of the program with the Bridging Courses is to ensure all students:
- will have certain entry level skills necessary to study their chosen course/s
- become familiar with the practical components of their chosen course/s
